My Compaq failed again. I cannot even boot it now. People at HP just supplanted the original motherboard by a new one last summer, and probably they will need to do that for a second time if I still want my notebook PC. And as now it is already out of the warranty period, several thousand bucks (HKD) may be needed to replace the motherboard. The alternative is buying a new laptop. Does anyone have some advice on that? I don't want another one that breaks twice and can only work for two years.
Besides, alienation from a PC further impedes me in posting here.
